On April 1st, the first day of the financial year, cuts to welfare expenditure totalling £18-billion started to kick in across the UK. The country is in recession but there is no place harder hit than Jaywick. Shot over 12 months this Wiretap film explores how three Jaywick residents struggle with a life of short term contracts, a changing benefits system and the housing crisis.
